Justin Hubner’s move to Cerezo Osaka has caught the attention of netizens. This move is seen as a step back as he previously played for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Cerezo Osaka officially announced the arrival of Justin Hubner on Tuesday (12/3/2024). The Indonesian national team defender will be loaned from Wolves for one season.
“With pleasure, Cerezo Osaka announces that defender Justin Hubner will join the club on loan for one season from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The contract will be signed after the visa issues are resolved,” stated the official statement from Cerezo Osaka.
The J League Instagram account also announced this transfer. However, Hubner’s move received negative responses from Indonesian netizens.

Among top leagues like the English League, Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga, and Ligue 1, the Japanese League is ranked 25th, higher than the K League 1 of South Korea and the Saudi Pro League (ranked 27) where Ronaldo plays.
