President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia received a warm welcome from Indonesian citizens upon his arrival in New Delhi, India. One of the excited individuals who greeted Prabowo was Nadine Ardiani Chairunisa, an Indonesian student studying Marketing Communication at Amity University. She, along with her friend Demas Fadel Anggara, expressed their excitement and nerves after waiting eagerly since 5 pm for Prabowo’s arrival. Other Indonesian citizens present, such as Rajendra, Marvell, and Adyatama, appreciated Prabowo’s personal gesture of shaking hands with them upon arrival. They conveyed their hopes for a successful working visit in India and a promising future under Prabowo’s leadership.

Prabowo’s visit to India not only marks a new phase in bilateral relations but also commemorates the 75th anniversary of diplomatic cooperation between Indonesia and India. Before departing from Jakarta, Prabowo expressed his pride in being invited as the chief guest at India’s 76th Republic Day celebrations, considering it a great honor for Indonesia. He highlighted the participation of Indonesian TNI troops in the event, emphasizing the strong ties between the two nations. The visit also includes planned meetings with Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss enhancing cooperation on various strategic issues.
