The Free Health Check in Schools program (CKG Sekolah) kicked off on August 4, 2025, with the launch taking place simultaneously in 12 schools, garnering enthusiastic participation from students. Fritz Edward Siregar, Deputy for Information Coordination and Communication Evaluation at the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), highlighted that CKG Sekolah is a vital step in nurturing Indonesia’s golden generation. This school-based program is part of the wider Free Health Check (CKG) initiative that started in February 2025.
President Prabowo Subianto’s Fast Results for the Best Outcomes program places great importance on CKG as a long-term strategy to support the nation’s youth. The initiative initially began with health checks at community health centers and has now expanded to schools nationwide, catering to students from elementary to high school. During the launch event at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 8 in South Jakarta, emphasis was placed on the pivotal role of parents in encouraging their children to participate in the health checks provided at no cost and directly at schools.
At MIN 8 South Jakarta, 617 students underwent health assessments by 30 medical professionals from local Community Health Centers. The screenings offered to primary school students covered various aspects such as nutritional status, smoking habits, physical activity levels, blood pressure, blood sugar, tuberculosis, ear and eye exams, dental check-ups, mental health, liver function, reproductive health, and immunization history.
CKG, launched on February 10, 2025, forms a fundamental part of President Prabowo Subianto’s healthcare agenda, focusing on promoting preventive care. The goal is to reach 60 million beneficiaries by the end of 2025 and gradually extend the program to the entire Indonesian population. Services are delivered through various channels including community health centers, integrated health posts, schools, BPJS clinics, offices, and local communities, with digital integration through the SATUSEHAT Mobile app and Ministry of Health’s official WhatsApp channel.
As of July 30, 2025, over 15 million individuals have benefited from the CKG program, with a recent expansion targeting elementary to high school students across Indonesia. With a commitment to improving the nation’s healthcare system, CKG is instrumental in fostering a healthier and more informed generation for the future.
