President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia attended the 2025 Indonesian Science, Technology, and Industry Convention (KSTI) at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). The event, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) in collaboration with ITB, showcased various research innovations.
During his visit, President Prabowo explored exhibition booths, including the “Flagship Research Products” booth from Padjadjaran University. This booth highlighted innovations like VR Dental Hypnosis and VR for Nurses. After the exhibition tour, Prabowo delivered a speech at the Sabuga Hall, expressing gratitude to the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology and other distinguished guests.
Under the theme “Science and Technology for Economic Growth and Equity,” KSTI 2025 seeks to drive national economic transformation through research and technological innovation. The convention aligns with the government’s vision for Golden Indonesia 2045, aiming to strengthen the foundation for long-term prosperity.
Moreover, KSTI 2025 featured exhibitions from eight national priority sectors, including energy, defense, digitalization, downstream industry development, healthcare, food security, maritime affairs, and advanced materials and manufacturing. This event serves as a strategic platform to showcase and advance Indonesia’s progress in science, technology, and industry.
