The atmosphere at the Annual Session of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR/DPR/DPD) was filled with excitement as all attendees rose to their feet in a standing ovation. A video showcasing President Prabowo Subianto’s administration’s achievements played at the Nusantara Building in Senayan, Jakarta. The eight-minute video highlighted the successful implementation of priority programs during Prabowo’s 10 months in office since his inauguration in October 2024, receiving positive feedback from the public. Testimonials in the video expressed appreciation and support for flagship initiatives like the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program and the People’s School (Sekolah Rakyat), emotionally moving some audience members to tears.
House Speaker Puan Maharani then invited Prabowo to deliver his State Address after the video presentation. The president respectfully bowed to MPR members and guests before proceeding to the podium to begin his speech at the 2025 Annual Session. Prabowo showed his humility by bowing once more to legislators before taking the stage. Later in the afternoon, he is set to present his introductory remarks and provide an explanation on the Draft State Budget (APBN) for Fiscal Year 2026, along with the Financial Note and supporting documents.
