President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the importance of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) being the “child of the people” during the Operational Troop Review and Military Honors Ceremony in Suparlan Field, West Java. He emphasized that the TNI must be prepared to sacrifice their lives in defense of the nation and its citizens, as they are born from the people and serve the people. Prabowo also advised newly appointed commanders to lead with integrity and treat their soldiers like their own children.
He highlighted the TNI’s role as the front line in defending Indonesia and promoting the nation’s total people’s defense system. During the ceremony, Prabowo appointed General Tandyo Budi Revita as Deputy Commander of the TNI and recognized several individuals for their dedication and integrity with honorary ranks and awards.
The event also saw the inauguration of new TNI units, including various commands, brigades, and battalions, showcasing the strength of the Indonesian military. The troop review featured thousands of personnel and tactical vehicles, demonstrating the readiness of the TNI to protect the nation.
