0

Growing up without a father hasn’t been easy for Andra Farizki Ramdhani, but thanks to his mother’s determination, he is now a 10th-grade student at People’s High School (SRMA 10) in South Jakarta. This school was established as part of the People’s School initiative by President Prabowo Subianto to provide education for those who cannot afford it. Andra expressed his gratitude for this opportunity, highlighting how the People’s School has sparked his excitement for learning and helped him become smarter.

Despite the initial challenges of adjusting to dorm life at the boarding school, Andra finds comfort in the friendships he has formed with his classmates. The structured schedule of the school, from morning prayers to evening calls with his mother, keeps him focused and disciplined. Andra also appreciates the facilities at SRMA 10, noting how they contribute to a better learning environment compared to regular schools.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Andra is actively involved in extracurricular activities such as judo and the student flag-raising team. His dream of becoming a judo athlete and attending Defense University (Unhan) is fueled by his mother’s unwavering support and prayers. Andra sees the People’s School as a stepping stone towards achieving his ambitions, as it eliminates financial barriers and provides a platform for underprivileged children to pursue their dreams.

With determination, independence, and a strong support system, Andra believes that his dreams are now within reach. His story is a testament to the transformative power of education and the resilience of individuals who strive for a better future.
