President Prabowo Subianto expressed his gratitude and pride to all officers and participants who took part in the 80th Independence Day ceremony at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. He commended the discipline, order, and enthusiasm demonstrated throughout the day. Praising the participants for their commitment and spirit, President Prabowo instructed the Ceremony Commander to personally convey his thanks to each participant. With 80 percent of the invitations allocated to the general public, the day’s events included a Flag and Proclamation Procession, a People’s Festival with cultural performances and culinary delights, and a grand fireworks display at Monas. The festivities will culminate in the United Independence Carnival on August 17, 2025, showcasing a parade along Jalan MH Thamrin to the HI Roundabout and Semanggi. It was a day filled with patriotism and celebration, honoring Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day.
