Pendapatan Iran dari Selat Hormuz Diperkirakan Rp258 T

Iran’s parliament estimates that the country’s revenue from the “management” of the Strait of Hormuz will reach 10 to 15 billion US dollars (around Rp258 trillion), as reported by the ISNA news agency. A member of the parliament explained to the semi-official news agency about a draft law that regulates the management of the Strait of Hormuz, including plans to impose fees on passing ships. The bill also aims to strengthen Iran’s national currency, the rial, by requiring foreign ships to pay fees through representative offices in Iran or the Iranian banking system. On April 13, the US Navy began blocking all maritime traffic entering and leaving Iranian ports on both sides of the Strait of Hormuz — a route through which approximately 20 percent of global oil, oil products, and liquefied natural gas supplies pass. The United States reiterated that non-Iranian ships are free to pass through the Strait of Hormuz as long as they do not pay fees to Tehran. Iranian authorities have not yet announced the implementation of these fees, but the plan has been discussed. Source: Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
